Alan Rosling, CBE, is an accomplished international business leader, entrepreneur, and strategic advisor with specialist insights on India and globalization. His career is defined by successfully driving exponential international growth for major corporations and pioneering new ventures in sustainable energy.
Rosling spent five pivotal years as Executive Director of Tata Sons Limited (2003–2008), where he was personally responsible for the Group's internationalization programme, successfully growing its overseas business from 24% to 60% of total revenues. His expertise is also in entrepreneurial ventures; he co-founded Kiran Energy, one of India’s leading solar power companies, which secured private equity backing and has over 80 MW of operating assets.
His comprehensive background includes policy and finance, having served as a Special Advisor to Prime Minister John Major and a member of the Policy Unit at No. 10 Downing Street. Prior to this, he was an investment banker with S.G. Warburg & Co Ltd. and an executive at United Distillers plc. An MBA from Harvard underpins his strategic and financial acumen.
Today, Rosling chairs Griffin Growth Partners, a specialist consultancy focused on Asian growth markets, and remains actively engaged in promoting Indo-British relations.
