Vir Sanghvi is arguably the best-known Indian journalist of his generation, whose career has spanned four decades across print, television, books, and new media. Sanghvi’s academic pedigree includes winning an Open Scholarship to read Philosophy, Politics, and Economics at Brasenose College, Oxford. His editorial career began at age 22 when he became the youngest editor in Indian journalism at Bombay magazine. As Editor of Sunday (1986), he grew it into India's largest-selling English-language newsmagazine, a success he repeated at the Hindustan Times, which became a multi-edition newspaper opening new and successful editions across the country.

He has cultivated a successful parallel career in television, anchoring high-profile shows such as Question Time (Doordarshan), Star Talk (Star Network), and Virtuosity (CNN News 18), where he now serves as a Resident Commentator. His historical series, Mandate With Destiny, became the bestselling book Mandate. In 2015, he co-founded EazyDiner, an online restaurant reservation service that quickly became a leader in its field, demonstrating his entrepreneurial skill in the digital sector.
