About Speakship
Speakship is a speaker bureau and knowledge platform. We work with Fortune 500 companies, summits, and event organizers to connect them with thought leaders, authors, entrepreneurs, and icons. People we've represented include Michael Phelps, Gurcharan Das, Daniel Pink, Vikrant Massey and more.
We find the right voice for each brief and make it land with the audience, whether that's at an event, in the media, or through a brand partnership. Clients stay with us because we curate well and we move fast.
Role Overview
This role sits next to the founder and covers whatever the business needs that week. Some weeks that's chasing a deal to close. Some weeks it's getting a speaker from an airport to a stage on time. Some weeks it's building a campaign from scratch because nobody else has bandwidth.
You'll touch sales, business development, event logistics, social campaigns, and direct founder support. The work is broad by design. If you want a narrow lane and a clean job boundary, this isn't it. If you want to see how a company gets built and have real ownership within your first month, it is.
What You'll Do
Sales and business development
Research and build target lists of companies, summits, and organizers worth talking to
Run outbound: cold email, LinkedIn, warm intros, follow-ups that don't drop
Sit in on client calls, take the notes that matter, and own the follow-through
Track deals through the pipeline and keep the CRM honest
Prepare pitches, speaker recommendations, and proposals against a brief
Speaker and event logistics
Coordinate travel, accommodation, schedules, and on-ground requirements for speakers
Be the point of contact between client, speaker, and any vendor in between
Handle the day-of problems: delayed flights, changed run orders, last-minute AV requests
Social media and campaigns support
Support campaigns end to end: idea, copy, visuals (Canva or similar), schedule, publish
Cover events for social, before and after, including capturing content on ground
Support founder-led content on LinkedIn and X
Founder support
Manage the founder's priorities: calendar, inbox triage, follow-ups, prep for meetings
Turn loose ideas into plans with owners and dates
Take on whatever is on fire, then build the process so it stops catching fire
What We're Looking For
2 to 5 years of experience, ideally at a startup, agency, events company, or somewhere you had to do several jobs at once
You write well. Clear, short, no filler. This matters for outreach and social both.
Organized. You track things in writing, not in your head.
Comfortable talking to senior people, clients, speakers, and their teams without needing a script
You use AI tools in your daily work and are curious about what they can take off your plate. We use them heavily.
Willing to travel for events and work odd hours around them
