Tanmay Bakshi is an AI and software architect whose work sits at the intersection of machine learning, developer education and public speaking. Across his own channels and speaker listings, he is described as an AI & Software Architect at IBM, a Google Developer Expert for Machine Learning, a TED/keynote speaker, and an author of four technology books.
He began coding at five and built an early reputation as a remarkably young developer working with IBM Watson-related projects. That early start shaped a career defined less by novelty than by sustained translation: taking technical ideas that can feel abstract or inaccessible and turning them into usable frameworks for students, builders and business audiences.
His published work includes Hello Swift!, Cognitive Computing with IBM Watson, Tanmay Teaches Julia for Beginners, and Tanmay Teaches Go. The last two form part of his “Tanmay Teaches” series, which has also travelled beyond English through translations and international editions.
Bakshi’s speaking and content work is built around AI literacy, first-principles thinking and practical adoption. He has keynoted for organizations including the United Nations, Apple, IBM, Walmart, SAP, NASSCOM, the Linux Foundation and KPMG, which gives his sessions a rare combination of technical credibility and broad executive relevance.
